With the many things that we add to our bath, like bubbles, perfumes or oils, you may wonder what the purpose of using bath
salt instead. One of the reasons is that using them augments the salt in your bath water which is known to diminish the bacteria
that is on your skin. This bath water additive allows the body to discard the excess dead skin quicker and helps to protect
the body’s skin from illness. It can also help to soften the skin while making it healthier, smoother, and moister.
If you want to try these salts the first thing to do is to be certain to put them in as the water is running into the tub.
If you pour them in after the bath is filled they will not dissolve properly and so there will be no benefits to having put
the bath salt into the bath. This is because they take a little time to properly dissolve and if you put them in at the beginning
they will have that time. Some people use them scented while others prefer no scent. The thing to remember is that the delicate
scent that is added will not be detrimental to your skin so if you like the scents it is okay to use them.
You just got out of work and you are exhausted. But for whatever reason, you have decided that you are not ready to go to
sleep. So you drag around for the rest of the evening, exhausted. You could drink a cup of coffee, but then you would be awake
for the rest of the night. So what alternatives do you have? Several, but I would suggest a revitalizing salt bath if you
have not yet.
Not only will you want to consider whether or not the salt is aromatic, but you will also want to find out how it will help
your skin type (consider whether you have oily or dry skin). Bath salt is activated once it is mixed with hot water. When
running a bath, use a few tablespoons in order to create a spa like atmosphere that one can use to unwind after a long day.
When buying salts, one should be aware of their skin type so they do not buy a product they could be allergic to.
Now, not all bath salts are the same. Some are simply dehydrated sea water (also called sea salt); others actually contain
a mix of different minerals and some fragrances. Since some people are allergic to fragrances in washing detergents, soaps,
and other cleaning products, salts that are fragrance free are available. Allergic reactions to these salts can include itchy
skin, red bumps, and dry skin. Using a fragrance free salt will still relax the body and help a person feel more comfortable.
Remember, the salt is supposed to dissolve in the water. If it does not dissolve, that is a good indication that something
is wrong. The water may not be hot enough or the bath salt could be low quality. If the bath water is too hot, wait for it
to cool a little bit. This will not lessen the affects of the bath salt. Light some candles and enjoy a relaxing bath that
will help anyone unwind after a long day. After all, you know you deserve it.
